Consulting
I provide consulting services in several IT areas.
Oracle Database
Having used, administered, and developed against Oracle since 1996, I am intimately familiar with versions 7-11g.
- Tuning ($150-$300/hr)
- OCI Development ($150-$300/hr)
- Internals Research ($250-$500/hr)
PostgreSQL Database
As a long-time Postgres user, developer, administrator, and consultant, I offer consulting services around Postgres. And, while it may sound egotistical, having been the primary benchmarking representative and performance analyst at EnterpriseDB, I know more about Postgres performance and how it operates under both OLTP and DSS workloads than anyone else. Similarly, I’ve recovered a significant amount of data from several corrupt Postgres databases.
- Data Recovery ($300-$600/hr or negotiated on a project basis if > 100GB)
- Tuning ($150-$300/hr)
- Training ($3000/8 hour day)
- Feature Development ($150-$350/hr or negotiated on a project basis)
General Development
While I know many more programming languages, these days, I’ve cut down the number of ones I will perform consulting-based development on. If you have another language in mind, contact me and I may decide to do it.
